Businessowner Specialty
Classes
Effective 9-1-04 the final
change to our Businessowner program will be available.
This change
will add the 11 new Specialty classes to our current program
that currently includes 85 Habitational, Office and Mercantile
classes and 28 Service classes.
These Specialty
classes include many of the business types that are presently
insured as a package policy in the CPP program.
These new
classes can be used for new accounts or for conversion of an
existing CPP account.
The current CPP
program will be phased out beginning with those policies
expiring 1-1-05 and later.
If an expiring
policy is a classification that may now qualify to be
transferred to the Businessowner your territorial underwriter is
ready to assist you in the transition of an existing account
from the CPP to the Businessowners program.
As a reminder,
the Businessowner does require both Property and Liability
coverage to qualify.
Our attention
will now focus on getting the Artisan Contractors Package
finalized. We are anticipating a 1-1-05 introduction date for
that new program.
