Businessowner
Program Service Classifications
The 2nd of 4 planned
enhancements to our Businessowner program is available effective
as of May 1, 2004.
There
are 28 Service classifications, ranging from Appliance Repair
Shops to Taxidermists being added to this policy.
The eligibility rules for these
classes are currently shown on page 2 of the Businessowner
manual rules.
Because many of the Service
classes will involve exposures of Personal Property of Others,
the coverages offered by one of the four PACE optional coverage
endorsements will be of particular interest.
Rating a Service Class occupancy
is very similar to the current simplified rating program used in
the Habitational, Mercantile and Office classes.

Our current Businessowner
application does not make reference to these Service classes.
Please just write in any needed occupancy information and
coverage options on page 1 and page 2 respectively.
An Acord application may be used
but be aware that there are listed coverage options on the
application that we do not write, such as Boiler and Machinery,
Flood, or Earthquake. Only the optional coverages shown in
our manual pages are available.
Please contact your territorial
underwriter if you have any questions concerning this program
enhancement. These updates
may be referenced in the on-line Manual. |
